Betsy Anderson Steeves

Betsy Anderson Steeves completed her Masters degree in Public Health Nutrition and Dietetic Internship at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After working as a Research Associate in a behavioral weight loss laboratory for several years, she joined the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to pursue her PhD. Her research interests focus on community-based interventions to prevent obesity, with a specific focus on nutrition and eating behaviors of early adolescents. In the future she hopes to investigate how the social and physical environments interact to influence food consumption. She is currently finishing her doctoral thesis and has accepted a position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, starting in August 2015.
